Quick Sambal with Anchovies
Simply, easy, delicious - a must have with Nasi Lemak!
|2 tablespoons||corn oil|
|100 g||anchovies, cleaned and fried without oil|
|300 g||dried chillies|
|200 g||yellow onions|
|15 g||shrimp paste|
|2 teaspoons||MAGGI® CukupRasa™|
|50 g||tamarind paste, dilute with 350ml water|
Start by blending the dried chillies, yellow onions, and shrimp paste together with water.
- Next, heat up the corn oil in a wok and sauté what you’ve blended until the oil separates for about 5-6 minutes.
- Then, add in the MAGGI® CukupRasa™, sugar and diluted tamarind paste and cook until the sauce is thickened.
- After that, add in the anchovies and stir for 5 minutes.
Your quick and easy sambal is best served with Nasi Lemak. Mind you, this sambal is so addictive that is sure to keep your loved ones coming back for more!
