Ingredients

6 tbsp Cooking oil
30 g Shallots, sliced
A: (To blend)  
100 g Dried chillies, deseeded & soaked
200 g Red onion
20 g Garlic
10 g Ginger
200 ml Water
2 tbsp Cooking oil
B:  
50 g Tamarind, seeds intact
100 ml Water (mix with tamarind water & take 4 tbsp)
50 ml Water
1 ½ tbsp MAGGI® CukupRasa™
3 tbsp Sugar
6 pc Eggs

Preparation

1. Heat oil, stir fry shallots till fragrant.

 

2. Add in blended ingredients, stir fry till dry.

 

3. Add 2 tbsp oil, stir fry further till oil separates.

 

4. Add in ingredients B, mix evenly over medium heat.

 

5. Crack eggs into sambal, one a time, making a hole each time.

 

6. Cook the eggs halfway, then mix evenly.

 

7. Serve hot.

 

8. Garnish with long slices of spring onions.

 

Kitchen Tips: Stir fry blended ingredients without oil till dried to avoid oil splatter.
