1 tbsp Corn oil
½ pc Salted ikan kurau meat, cut into small pieces
3 cloves garlic, pounded
1 nos Shallots,sliced
4 stalks bird’s eye chilli, pounded
300 g Kailan, washed and sliced into big pieces (more leaves, stems sliced)
2 tbsp Water
1 tsp MAGGI® CukupRasa™


  • Heat kuali, add oil and stir fry salted ikan fish till partially crispy.
  • Add garlic, shallots, and bird’s eye chillies.
  • Next, add Kailan stems before adding kalian leaves in kuali.
  • Add water.
  • Add MAGGI® CukupRasa™.
  • Serve hot.

Tips: For vegetables to cook fast, cut the stem into 4 pieces.

Pairing: Salted fish kalian with rice, sambal belacan, and iced rose syrup / iced black tea.
