Fish and other seafood contains a lot of iodine, a mineral that is important for health. It is needed to make the thyroid hormones that are needed for growth and regulating metabolism.

Ingredients

For the Fries:
3 russet potatoes
1 teaspoon MAGGI® CukupRasa™
1 tablespoon oil
For the Fish:
4 pollock/ dory fillets
1 cup self-rising flour
350 ml water
1 cube MAGGI® Ikan Bilis Stock Cube
1 cup bread crumbs
For the Tartar Sauce:
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
2 tablespoon MAGGI® Chilli Sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 gherkin, diced

Preparation

1. Cut potato into thin wedges, sprinkle oil and MAGGI® CukupRasa™ and bake it in the oven for 35 minutes.

2. Slice fish into large chunks and set aside. In a separate mixing bowl, mix together flour, water and one MAGGI® Ikan Bilis Stock Cube. Whisk the batter until it is completely smooth and free of any lumps.

3. Dip fish into batter, then roll in breadcrumbs. Pan-fry until golden brown.

4. Mix together the ingredients for the tartar sauce and serve up with fries and fish.
