For a more balanced meal, serve these mouth-watering sandwiches with a side of coleslaw.

Ingredients

1 red onion
1 celery
1 carrot
2 cloves garlic
300g beef slices (chuck steak)
400ml water
1/4 cup tomato puree
2 tablespoons MAGGI® Oyster Sauce
2 tablespoons MAGGI® Chilli Sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon MAGGI® CukupRasa™
3 tablespoons oil

Preparation

1. In a pot, heat oil and sear beef until browned.

2. Next, add onion, celery, carrot and garlic and let that brown as well.

3. Add tomato puree, sauces, mustard, vinegar, sugar and MAGGI® CukupRasa™. Let it caramelize before adding in water.

4. Allow the ingredients to simmer for 40 minutes until beef is tender enough to pull apart.

5. Serve in toasted whole meal bread with thick slices of tomato.
