Ingredients

¼ cup cooking oil
A: (Blended)
3 medium sized shallots
5 cloves garlic
40 g (dry) dried chilli, soaked to soften and drained
¼ cup water
B:
100 g tamarind paste
1 cup water
1 ½ tablespoon MAGGI® CukupRasa™
1 ½ tablespoon sugar
C:
3 brinjal, sliced thinly

Preparation

1. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil and grill eggplant until it chars a little.

2. Heat oil and sauté blended ingredients until oil separates.

3. Cook until the sambal turns darker than it was originally.

4. When the sambal starts to look dry, pour the tamarind water and let it come to a boil. Sprinkle in MAGGI® CukupRasa™ and sugar.
