Ingredients

500 g basmati rice, washed and drained
3 cm ginger, sliced
1 shallot, sliced
1 tablespoon corn oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon aniseed powder
2 teaspoons paprika
2 tablespoons NESTLÉ Greek Yogurt Natural
¼ cup MAGGI® Tomato Ketchup
1 tablespoon MAGGI® CukupRasa™
10 g black raisins
½ cup carrots, grated
600 ml water
20 g coriander leaves
10 g cashew nuts

Preparation

1. In a pan, sauté the ginger, shallot, cinnamon powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, aniseed powder and paprika together in corn oil until fragrant.

2. Next, stir fry the rice grains with the spices until it is well blended. Then, remove it from the heat.

3. Pour the rice you’ve just made into the rice cooker and mix together with NESTLÉ Greek Yogurt Natural, MAGGI® Tomato Ketchup, MAGGI® CukupRasa™, black raisins, carrots, water, coriander leaves and cashew nuts. Stir to combine and allow the rice to cook

4. When the rice is ready, mix very well, fluffing lightly. Scoop onto serving platter and garnish with fried shallots. Now, just wait for the compliments to come pouring in.
